Naira discovers a Research!America microgrant application that funds a science policy podcast. She pings the SEPA Slack channel to spark collaboration. Within minutes, Nina, Joanna, and Ellie DM her, voicing thier interest. The group meets for the first time by Zoom.
February 2021 | A Congressional Affair
PUTM podcast host its first members of congress, Reps. Seth Moulton (MA-6) and Chrissy Houlahan (PA-6) to discuss COVID-19 legislation.
November 2022 | The Unfashionable Truth
PUTM is awarded its second R!A micro-grant to develop a series revealing the multifaceted nature of the fast fashion crisis.
April 2023 | Let's Go Live
PUTM hosts its first live event: a panel discussion about sustainable fashion solutions featuring local experts.
September 2020 | Hostesses Matriculate Into Graduate Programs
She's Thinking founders, then strangers, join the Science and Education Policy Association (SEPA) to learn how science can change public policy.
January 2021 | The Beginning
The group is awarded the R!A Grant, and Politics Under the Microscope is born-- beginning with the drop of it's first official episode.
April 2021 | Lots Of LUV
PUTM is awarded its second grant, NSPN's Lifting Underrepresented Voices (LUV), focused on making science policy content accessible to the deaf and hard-of-hearing community through ASL translation and closed captioning.
March 2022 | Science for the Public Good
PUTM is awarded its third grant through the Union of Concerned Scientists, namely, Science For the Public Good, to produce episodes on domestic and international Climate Change.
October 2023 | The Big Rebrand
PUTM evolves into She's Thinking, an enterprise dedicated to STEM communication, education, and outreach. Nina graduates and becomes host-emeritus.
