ABOUT

THE TRI-INSTITUTIONAL CAMPUS

WEILL CORNELL MEDICINE - ROCKEFELLER UNIVERSITY - SLOAN KETTERING

NEW YORK, NEW YORK

Comprising of Weill Cornell Medical College, The Rockefeller University, and the Gerstner Sloan Kettering Graduate School, the Tri-Institutional campus lies on the East River on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. This "Corridor of Science" is a hub for collaboration between scientists from all three institutions. The Politics Under the Microscope podcast represents yet another collaborative effort by graduate students in diverse disciplines ranging from pharmacology to neuroscience to chromatin biology. What brings them together is a fervent interest in how their science can impact policy and legislation.

Tune in to hear from experts from all scientific fields give their take on science policy and how their science can affect legislation, and what the journey from scientist to policy-maker looks like.

SEPA
The Science & Education Policy Association (SEPA) is a student-run organization founded at the Tri-Institute – Weill Cornell Medicine, The Rockefeller University, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center – aiming to facilitate the interaction between scientists and the world of science policy. Launched in 2016 by Sarah Qamar and Dane Samilo, SEPA is continuing its work to advocate and raise awareness for the need for policy engagement within the scientific community.
